The Missoula Oblongata
(Missoula, MT) presents:
‘The Last Hurrah of The Clementines’

The Missoula Oblongata is an experimental theater company dedicated to creating and touring original work that defies the conventions and constrictions of conventional contemporary theatre. The company's DIY approach to lighting, sound, and set creation combines refined performances with artfully assembled "found" design schemes which, in the words of The Edmonton Sun, "…transform the stage into a place of magic."

"Witty writing and sharp acting…a visual delight."
The Minneapolis City Pages

Barry Smith
(Aspen, CO) presents:
‘Jesus in Montana:
Adventures in a Doomsday Cult'

Winner of the Outstanding Solo Show Award at the 2005 New York International Fringe festival, 'Jesus in Montana' is a monologue that elevates Powerpoint to a high art. Written and performed by award-winning humorist Barry Smith, this one-man show tells the true story of Barry's surreal journey into the depths of a bizarre religious cult and his desperate quest for God’s truth in the early '90s.

“Five stars! ...A devastatingly significant work...a scintillating sense of humor, a magnificent turn of phrase and a way with a punch line that is jaw-dropping. You must see Jesus in Montana.” Montreal Gazette

The Nonsense Company
(Madison, WI) presents:
'Great Hymn of Thanksgiving/
Conversation Storm'

The Nonsense Company performs unique new works in the fields of contemporary music and theater, focusing on the musical use of speech in estranged contexts and the application in theater of techniques native to musical performance. 'Great Hymn of Thanksgiving/Conversation Storm' is an award-winning pair of intricate and urgent pieces that blur the boundary between avant-garde music and experimental political theater.

“Artists to be reckoned with…hilariously funny and awesomely tragic at the same time.” New York Theatre

Mike Mathieu
(Bellingham, WA) presents:
‘Purple Heart’

In this world-premier solo performance by Mike Mathieu (The Cody Rivers Show), a desperate private detective takes on small-town cronyism, courtroom injustice, and a wealth of personal shortcomings to exonerate a possibly innocent man. Purple Heart presents a ridiculous but profound hero in a sincere but hilarious thriller from one of the region's most original voices in independent theater.

"Mathieu uses a combination of drama, humor, and bizarre plot twists to manipulate the audience into confronting an ever-changing view of reality." The Bellingham Herald

Becky Poole
(Seattle, WA) presents:
‘Murder, Hope’

Recent NYC transplant actor/comedian/saw player Becky Poole presents an impassioned collage of murder ballads, 6 year-old performance artists, and other strange folk who populate this one-woman world of compelling characters who all have in common a distinct lack of balance.

"A commitment to the absurd that is hilariously charming" New York Theatre
"…a bizarre blend of perkiness and rage." Backstage Magazine
